Student Veterans of America Opens Registration for 8th Annual Conference

Washington, D.C. - Student Veterans of America (SVA), which provides military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education, opened registration for its 8th annual National Conference, scheduled to run January 7-10, 2016 in Orlando, Florida. Early bird pricing is available through August 31, 2015. Attendees and media can register today

VFW-SVA Legislative Fellowship

16145451684 90d20d5d54 zIn 2014, Student Veterans of America (SVA) in partnership with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), launched the inaugural VFW-SVA Legislative FellowshipIn early 2015, we welcomed 10 student veteran leaders to Washington, D.C. to meet face-to-face with U.S. legislators, advocating on behalf of the veterans' community. SVA and the VFW is currently seeking candidates to fill VFW-SVA Legislative Fellowship positions.

2014liThe Leadership Institute is a cohort based, multi-day program where SVA brings a select group of emerging chapter leaders together for intensive, in-residence chapter leadership training. The curriculum teaches established chapter best practices and operational concepts designed to strengthen the core of SVA, the local chapter. Read more

 

  

 Local Leadership Summits

SD Summit

SVA's Local Leadership Summits bring student veterans together to exchange chapter best practices and to explore campus-level concepts that can ease a veteran’s transition from the military to higher education and then to the workforce. These one-day events are hosted in multiple locations throughout the country to maximize student veteran participation. SVA has previously hosted Summits in Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky, California, Colorado, New York, Washington, DC, San Jose, Savannah, St. Louis, and Denver. Read More
