Kate Kohler is a Principal at Korn Ferry.  Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY) is the world’s largest talent management firm, helping leaders and organizations succeed by releasing the full potential of people through a full suite of talent strategy tools and consulting services.

Ms. Kohler is a specialist in Financial Services and co-leads the firm’s Impact Investing Practice.  She partners with organizations focused on leadership succession to build and develop effective leadership teams at the C-suite, board and senior executive levels.  In addition to her work in finance, Ms. Kohler has partnered Military and Veterans’ organizations for succession consulting at the CEO and board levels. 

Ms. Kohler’s experience spans the financial services, nonprofit and defense sectors.  Prior to entering the talent management profession, Ms. Kohler was an executive in the financial services industry, most recently at the PenFed Foundation, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization working to meet the unmet financial needs of active duty, veterans and their families in the areas of micro credit, affordable housing and emergency financial assistance. As Chief Operations Officer and Corporate Senior Vice President, Ms. Kohler led the executive management in partnership with a global financial institution, Pentagon Federal Credit Union.

Previously, Ms. Kohler served in business development roles in Institutional Business Development at Morgan Creek Capital Management, LLC and at Morgan Stanley.

Ms. Kohler is a U.S. Army veteran, with leadership experience in Kuwait, Bosnia and South Korea, culminating in the service of United States and South Korean soldiers as a company commander.  In addition to the Board of Student Veterans of America, she serves as a member of the West Point Association of Graduates Advisory Council and the Finance Committee for the West Point Association of Graduates.

Ms. Kohler holds a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School and a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. She earned a bachelor of science degree from The United States Military Academy at West Point. She is an Ironman finisher.  She resides with her family in Arlington, Virginia.
