Chance Browning joined the professional staff of Student Veterans of America in April 2015, as Communications and Marketing Manager. With years of experience in media, advertising, communications and political campaigns, Mr. Browning moved to Washington DC to pursue graduate studies at American University. In August 2014 he earned his MA in Political Communications from AU.
Prior to graduate school, Mr. Browning served as Director of Media Development for Voice Publishing Company in Dallas TX and prior to that worked as an Advertising Account Manager for Dallas Voice, the Premiere Media Source for LGBT Texas. Also during his time in Dallas, he served as Marketing Chair for the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, Participant Fundraising Chair for Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS and acted as Team Lead for AIDS Arms' Lifework, an annual walk organized to raise funds and awareness for North Texans living with HIV/AIDS. Mr. Browning has also worked and volunteered on multiple political campaigns at the state and local level, returning to Texas immediately upon completing his graduate studies to work on the 2014 gubernatorial race.
A native Texan with small-town roots, Mr. Browning values were formed growing up on a small ranch in a family of teachers and veterans. He works to ensure that SVA's message and resources are communicated clearly not only to student veterans but also to policy makers, the media and the general public.
