Washington, D.C., September  8, 2015 — Student Veterans of America (SVA) and  The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. (VFW)  are seeking student veteran candidates to participate in the 2016 VFW-SVA Legislative Fellowship program. The fellowship will once again offer ten selected student veterans the unique opportunity to meet face-to-face with their legislators next spring as part of the VFW National Legislative Conference, as well as additional academic opportunities for fellows to substantively address veterans’ issues in their communities.

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 26,2015Student Veterans of America (SVA)and BP announced today that they will award three $10,000 academic scholarships to military veterans who are pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Washington, D.C., August 17, 2015--Thousands gathered Saturday at Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge, VA for the  Potomac Nationals' Military Appreciation Night, an annual tradition of the Potomac Nationals baseball franchise. Proceeds from this annual game benefitted Student Veterans of America's James Madison University Chapter, in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Washington, D.C.- Student Veterans of America (SVA) today announced the award of $400,000 in grants from The Home Depot Foundation to 50 student veteran-led chapters to help them build, renovate or improve their on-campus veterans' resource center space.
