Pamela Erickson is vice president of Global Branding and Corporate Citizenship for Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN). Raytheon Company, with 2017 sales of $25.3 billion and 64,000 employees worldwide, is a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, civil government and cybersecurity solutions throughout the world.
As vice president of Global Branding and Corporate Citizenship, Erickson is responsible for maintaining the corporate reputation of the company through the development and management of strategic initiatives that reinforce Raytheon’s role as a world-class defense and aerospace leader committed to customer success and corporate responsibility. She oversees external communication and corporate social responsibility for the company.
Erickson has an established track record of success in developing and driving communication programs that advance corporate reputation, increase shareholder value and accelerate business growth. She has held a number of positions leading cross-functional global teams to develop and execute global corporate positioning, brand reputation management, crisis communication, investor and customer communications, executive profiles, and digital and social media programs for business-to-business and business-to-consumer markets.
Prior to joining Raytheon, Erickson was a senior vice president for E*TRADE Financial Corporation. In her role with the S&P 500 financial services firm, Erickson managed the global corporate communications function where she oversaw many high-profile activities, including the E*TRADE Baby campaigns; the leadership transition of three chief executive officers; the launch of several industry-first financial services products.
Erickson began her career at Cunningham Communications in Cambridge, Mass., as managing director servicing a high-tech clientele.
Erickson serves as the vice chairman of the board for MATHCOUNTS® and is a member of the Military Leadership Council of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Erickson has received numerous professional recognitions, including Corporate Public Relations Professional of the Year by “PR News” magazine. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and journalism from Simmons College in Boston, Mass.
