Kevin Jenkins joined SVA in June of 2019 as Program Manager, Chapter Support and Programs. Kevin has over a dozen years of working in college admissions and access, and is passionate about helping students succeed.
Kevin enlisted in the U.S. Army in November of 2000 as a Multiple Launch Rocket Systems [MLRS] Fire Direction Specialist. He deployed to Kuwait in March of 2003 and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Following graduation, Kevin worked for Operation Link-Up, a nonprofit organization that helps underserved students gain access to a higher education. He then Worked in college admissions at St. John’s University and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also served on the planning committee and as Interim Director of FDU’s first Student Veteran Reintegration Program following the passage of the Post-9/11 GI Bill. Kevin moved to northern Virginia in 2013 where he ran a college access center located at Northern Virginia Community College in Woodbridge, Virginia.
Kevin was born and raised in northern New Jersey and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from William Paterson University of New Jersey. In addition to working at SVA, Kevin continues guiding students through the college admissions process as a college admissions consultant.
