Three Rivers College Reduces Tuition for Veterans

Three Rivers College is reducing the cost for many veterans and their family members to attend the college.
The college’s Board of Trustees recently approved altering the college’s tuition policy to charge “in-district” tuition to all veterans, their spouses and children.

Over 770 candidates for graduation from Texas A&M University-San Antonio will cross the stage at the Spring Commencement Ceremony at 4 p.m. at the Freeman Coliseum on Friday, May 15. This graduating class will be the University’s largest ceremony to date and the University anticipates a full house as graduates and their families and friends celebrate this momentous occasion in their lives.

Local veterans to take Honor Flight to D.C.

Two local veterans will be celebrated next week with an Honor Flight to the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The all-expenses paid trip is set to begin May 15 and should last for three to four days. Going this year are veterans Caroll Heckenlively and Mike Brant.
These are the core values of Sussex County Community College’s SALUTE program, a National Honor Society for Veterans.The first of its kind, SALUTE honors student veterans and military in two-and four-year institutions of higher education.
