Jennifer is the senior accountant for Student Veterans of America (SVA) from Marcum LLP. She has over six years of public accounting experience, primarily in the not-for-profit industry. Jennifer’s first experience in public accounting was her internship with Raffa in 2011, eventually leading up to her joining what we now know as Marcum, in February 2019

As the senior accountant for SVA, Jennifer supervises and reviews the accounting staff’s work on day-to-day transactions, performs account reconciliations, tracks grant activities, month-end closings and financial reporting. Additionally, she assists with the annual audit and budgeting processes and well as tax filings.
In her role at Marcum, Jennifer works with multiple clients and is responsible for assisting in month-end closings, financial consolidation, financial analysis and reporting, maintaining clients’ internal control, and overseeing staff members in assisting with various clients’ work.

Prior to joining Marcum, Jennifer started her career in 2014 as a Staff Accountant with Clifton Larson Allen in their Nonprofit Outsourcing group, and advanced to Senior Accountant after completing her CPA examinations and three years of work experience. Jennifer graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting. She is married and living in Virginia with her husband, a cat and a dog.
