Pamela Erickson has served as a board member since 2016 and is a former Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Student Veterans of America (SVA). As chief communications officer, she leads Global Communications & Corporate Affairs for Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX). Raytheon Technologies, with annual sales of over $74 billion and 195,000 employees worldwide, is a technology and innovation leader specializing in defense, civil government and cybersecurity solutions throughout the world. Erickson is responsible for the company’s global marketing, public relations, employee communications, executive communications, digital and social media platforms, and corporate social responsibility programs.
Erickson has nearly 30 years of experience in communications to advance company reputation, increase shareholder value and accelerate business growth, particularly in the aerospace and defense, finance and technology industries. Most recently, she served as vice president of global branding and corporate citizenship for Raytheon Company prior to its merger with United Technologies Corporation in 2020. Prior to that, she was vice president of corporate affairs for Raytheon Company.
Before joining Raytheon, Erickson was a senior vice president for E*TRADE Financial Corporation, where she managed global corporate communications. She was also managing director for Cunningham Communications, a Silicon Valley pioneer, where she led strategic programs for business-to-business and business-to-consumer clientele. Erickson also serves on the military advisory council for Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Erickson has received numerous professional recognitions, including Corporate Public Relations Professional of the Year by “PR News” magazine. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and journalism from Simmons College in Boston.
