Dr. Christine Quemuel, Ph.D.

Ph.D., University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa

B.A., Western Washington University

Dr. Christine Quemuel serves as the Senior Advisor for Higher Education, where she is responsible for the strategic development of initiatives throughout their programs, research, and services. She is also an Assistant Vice Provost in the Division of Student Success at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She was awarded the NASPA Pillar of the Profession in 2024, and brings over 25 years of experience in higher education and student affairs.

A first generation and military connected college student, Dr. Quemuel’s father served twenty years in the Navy and was a Viet Nam War Veteran. Her maternal great uncles served in the highly decorated 442nd and 100th Battalions during WWII. Dr. Quemuel has conducted numerous presentations on issues facing student veterans in higher education at regional and national conferences across the country.
