Faisal Sulman, JD
Faisal Sulman is a Legal Fellow for the Student Veterans of America (SVA), where he conducts legal research analysis of proposed and existing policies, monitors regulatory and legislative developments, and advocates to advance the public policy priorities at the direction of the SVA.
Faisal graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in Philosophy in 2018. He later attended Elon University and obtained his Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration in 2022 and 2023, respectively. During his tenure, Faisal served as the Student Bar Association President and participated in various organizations. He was also selected by the North Carolina Bar Association Minorities in the Profession Committee to intern at IQVIA during his 1L summer, a Fortune 500 company, and the largest clinical research organization in the world. His other internship experienced included working at Elon Law’s Small Business Entrepreneurship Clinic, The Fresh Market, Appalachian State University Office of General Counsel, and the Muslim Public Affairs Counsel across various legal and policy affairs.
Faisal obtained his license to practice law in North Carolina in March 2023 and worked at a private firm in Greensboro, North Carolina. He moved to Virginia to be a contract Law Clerk at the United States Department of Justice across various branches, prior to working for the SVA. In his spare time, Faisal loves to travel, read fiction, and cook for his family, friends, and puppy.
