Wilton Williamson Jr.
Prior to joining WWP, Wilton served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 11 years as a Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of a recruiting office in Tri-Cities, Washington.
Wilton Williamson Jr. serves as Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) Vice President – Connection. In this role, he oversees the Alumni program, Resource Center, and Registration teams.
Prior to joining WWP, Wilton served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 11 years as a Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of a recruiting office in Tri-Cities, Washington. He also served as Prudential Financial’s Director of Veteran Initiatives. In this role, he organized strategic initiatives in talent acquisition, retention, engagement, and veteran development.
When asked why he joined Wounded Warrior Project, Wilton said, “I continue my service (outside of uniform) by serving warriors, family support members, and caregivers in this capacity. My passion for this community stems from an upbringing that has instilled the importance of connection and the core values of honor, courage, and commitment. I will further embrace these ethos at WWP by being mission-focused, guided by core values, and a pleasure to work with.”
Wilton holds a master’s degree in labor and employment relations, and an executive certificate in diversity, equity & inclusion in the workplace from Rutgers University. Wilton is not the only one in his family that has served, his wife is a U.S. Army veteran, and his father was part of the “Big Red One” during the conflict in Vietnam. He also has a 12-year-old daughter and a Mal-shi-poo.
