In 1993, Purdue University’s Center for Families embarked on a mission to improve the quality of life for families. Seven years later, the center created the Military Family Research Institute (MFRI). MFRI is a unit of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies in the College of Health and Human Sciences at Purdue University. One of the world’s premier research institutions, Purdue is Indiana’s land-grant university and supports missions of learning, discovery, and engagement.
