Northrop Grumman Scholarship

Northrop Grumman Foundation and SVA are awarding five $2,000 scholarships to undergraduate student veterans in a STEM major for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Northrop Grumman Foundation STEM Scholarship

Northrop Grumman Foundation is committed to supporting education that promotes the recruitment and success of a diverse STEM pipeline. This scholarship amount is $2,000 per student.

Application Open: 2/24/25 - 4/7/25

Eligibility and Criteria

Student veterans must meet the following criteria to apply for the Northrop Grumman Foundation STEM Scholarship:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited university for the 2025-2026 academic year or intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student at a university in the United States for the 2025-2026 academic year.
    • For students at a 2-year institution, the student must be on the path to one of the STEM majors noted below at a 4-year institution.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Pursuing a degree that will result in a career in STEM or related field, including, but not limited to:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
    • Systems Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Aeronautical Engineering
    • Software Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Physics
  • Must be a current student veteran (includes members of the National Guard or Reserve) as proven by a DD- 214 and transcript, or a student on Active Duty as proven by submission of Active Duty orders and a Memorandum of Understanding from your commanding officer indicating that you are currently in good standing with your unit and transcript.
  • Has received an honorable discharge or is in good standing with his/her branch of service.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

How to Apply

Students must submit a complete application, including:

Your application should include your transcripts and a 1-2-minute video that captures the following information:

  • DD-214 (member-4 copy)
  • Transcripts
    • Official or unofficial showing full time status, degree path, and GPA
  • 1-2 Minute video that captures the following:
    • Tell us about your background, why you joined the service.
    • What are you studying and why? What are your career goals?
    • How have you demonstrated leadership and engagement in your community
    • What would receiving this scholarship mean to you?
