Chapter Success Coach

Jace Achiu, BSW

Jace Achiu is a retired U.S. Army Veteran and dedicated advocate committed to strengthening the bridge between military service and higher education success. Over a decade of service in the Army—including roles as a PATRIOT Missile Launcher Operator and Trial Defense Paralegal—shaped their foundation of resilience, precision, justice, and service to others. After being medically retired, Jace transformed this lived experience into a mission-driven career centered on empowering veterans and military-affiliated students.

Jace earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, reinforcing their commitment to vulnerable populations and systems-level advocacy. They also spent four years as a Peer Advisor for Veteran Education (PAVE), mentoring student veterans and guiding them through the challenges of academic transition, well-being, and community connection.

Today, Jace serves as a Chapter Success Coach with Student Veterans of America, supporting chapters across the Great Plains, Great Lakes, West Coast, and Minority-Serving Institutions—including HBCUs, TCUs, and AANAPISIs. In this role, Jace leads chapter development, strengthens leadership pipelines, and helps campuses build inclusive, sustainable environments where veterans can thrive academically, professionally, and personally.

Driven by the belief that no veteran should walk their path alone, Jace continues to champion community, belonging, and opportunity for those who served. Their work blends lived military experience with professional expertise in advocacy, education, and social impact—making them a powerful bridge-builder for the veteran community nationwide.
