The Data Analytics Certificate is a beginner-friendly, online program designed to prepare you for a career in data analytics. Across nine courses and more than 180 hours of instruction, you’ll gain hands-on experience while developing skills in data cleaning, visualization, and problem solving. At under ten hours per week, you can complete the program in less than six months.

Analysts also identify trends, detect anomalies, and suggest strategies to improve performance, efficiency, and outcomes across teams and organizations.
The data analysis tools and platforms included in the certificate curriculum are spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel), SQL, presentation tools (Powerpoint or Google Slides), Tableau, RStudio, and Kaggle.
The Google Data Analytics Certificate is for anyone with a curiosity about how things work. No prior experience or specific tool is required. All you need is high-school-level math.
The Google Data Analytics Certificate equips you with the skills needed to start a career as a junior or associate data analyst. You will learn how to ask the right questions, prepare and analyze data for key insights, communicate findings effectively, and make data-driven recommendations.

Through interactive content, quizzes, discussion prompts, and hands-on activities, you can complete the program in under six months, studying fewer than 10 hours per week.* The curriculum is designed with input from top employers like Tableau, Accenture, and Deloitte, and includes a case study you can share with potential employers to showcase your skills.

After completion, you will gain access to career resources and have the opportunity to connect directly with over 150 employers hiring for entry-level data analytics roles.
Those planning to attend a degree program can utilize American Council on Education (ACE®️) recommendations or European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) recommendations, the industry standard for translating workplace learning to college credit. Learners can earn an ACE recommendation of up to 13 college credits (the equivalent of 4-5 college courses at the bachelor’s degree level), or seven ECTS credits, for completing the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate. This aims to help open up additional pathways to learners who are interested in higher education, and prepare them for entry-level jobs.

To share proof of completion with schools, certificate graduates will receive an email prompting them to claim their Credly badge, which contains the ACE ️or ECTS credit recommendation. Once claimed, they will receive a competency-based transcript that signifies the credit recommendation, which can be shared directly with a school from the Credly platform. Please note that the decision to accept specific credit recommendations is up to each institution and is not guaranteed.
