SVA National Conference

Every year our annual NatCon brings together student veterans from across the country, inspiring speakers, leading employers, higher education professionals, nonprofits, government agencies, and more!

The Student Veterans of America® National Conference (NatCon) is one of the largest gatherings of student veterans, serving as a dynamic starting point each year where a vibrant community comes together to share ideas, exchange best practices, and build meaningful connections. With SVA chapters at campuses across the U.S. and abroad, NatCon brings together veteran and military-affiliated students, their families, supporters, and partners from corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors. At the heart of the experience is the SVA Campus exhibit hall, where the energy of connection turns into opportunity, linking students to internships, careers, and resources that shape their futures and transform lives.

NatCon Chapter Assistance

We understand the importance of your attendance and the value it holds for both personal and professional growth. To streamline your preparations and ensure a smooth journey, we have curated three essential documents to assist you in the process.

Request Letter

Chapter leaders are welcome to use this request for attendance letter in their proposals to their schools or community support organizations in their request for funding. This document contains the benefits of attending NatCon for chapter leaders, members, and supporters, and has a portion where chapters can fill in their requested fund amount.

Sponsorship PowerPoint

This PowerPoint is used for chapter leaders to present in a professional way their desire for funding to attend NatCon. It can be used to leverage membership in organizations such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) or American Legion. With it, chapter leaders can share what they can gain from their time at NatCon as representatives for the partner organization.

Cost Estimator

This Excel file will take you through a four step process to estimate how much the chapter will need financially to send attendees to NatCon. Chapters can use this to calculate costs for travel, meals, and registration - then include items in chapter budget for fundraising. This document is an estimator, and each chapter may need more or fewer funds to be comfortable at NatCon.

“If you are on the fence about applying for an SVA program, I highly recommend looking into it. You only get out of it what you put into it. I recommend going full force. There’s wonderful individuals and it’s a life changing experience.”

“You have nothing to lose. SVA is committed to enriching student veterans, they want us to be the leaders of any industry that we go into.”
