Not at all. Washington Week is designed for both first-time and experienced advocates. The prep webinar and provided resources will help you feel ready.
Attend the Washington Week Prep Webinars – Prepare for Washington Week with our three-part webinar series designed to ensure you feel confident, informed, and ready to make the most of your time in Washington, D.C. Each session covers a different aspect of the experience, including the week’s schedule, advocacy best practices, guidance for engaging with elected officials, and tips for representing your chapter effectively. Students are highly recommended to attend at least one webinar in the series and are encouraged to participate in all three in order to gain the most complete preparation for Washington Week.
We encourage all attendees to bring business cards to exchange with other attendees and Hill Staff.
SVA does not schedule meetings on behalf of attendees, but we will support you with best practices, talking points, and policy priorities to ensure you feel prepared and confident.
