EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT & CEO

Rachel Norman, BA

B.A., University of South Florida

Rachel joined the SVA team in 2019 and serves as the Executive Assistant to SVA President & CEO, Jared Lyon. Rachel coordinates all CEO travel and daily scheduling and is responsible for the accounts payable for the organization. Prior to joining SVA, Rachel spent over seven years in fine dining restaurants as a Private Dining Manager, planning and executing high-level events and managing restaurants across the East Coast including serving as opening manager for both the Boston and Washington D.C. properties.

Throughout her career in the fine dining industry Rachel has generated over $5M in private dining sales, $2.7M in Washington D.C. As an active member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), Rachel’s love of volunteering and supporting veterans ignited her greater passion to serve and inspired her to change career paths beginning her work in the non-profit sector.

Rachel is passionate about community engagement and believes that in an era of an all-volunteer force it is more important than ever for civilians to have meaningful relationships with veterans and active duty service members. Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of South Florida in Tampa and is an excellent trivia teammate.
