As Development Manager for Student Veterans of America, Calvin Jensen leads the organization’s efforts in identifying and developing opportunities and programs for career readiness and professional development for student veterans looking to connect to meaningful careers made available from SVA’s partnerships. He also leads SVA’s partnership with LinkedIn, conducting LinkedIn for Student Veterans workshops and manages SVA’s Career Services Liaison Program, which hosts training and career readiness workshops for student veterans across the country.
Joining the SVA team in 2016 as a Chapter Liaison, he assisted SVA Chapters in membership engagement and recruitment, student programming, and on best practices in organizational planning and management. Prior to his role as Chapter Liaison, Calvin served as the President for the SVA Chapter at The University of Arizona and as the Professional Development Committee Chair for Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International. Prior to his journey in higher education, Calvin served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Team Leader.
Calvin holds a Dual Bachelor of Arts from The University of Arizona and has completed studies as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from Cornell University and as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from Syracuse University. Calvin also volunteers with organizations like Veterati, Hire Heroes USA, and other philanthropic organizations in the greater Washington, DC area.
