Empowering Service and Volunteerism through Student Veterans of America
At Student Veterans of America® (SVA), service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. We believe that student veterans remain lifelong public servants—leaders, advocates, and changemakers. Through volunteerism, our members continue that commitment by making an impact on their campuses and in communities across the country.
As an official participant in the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) program, SVA recognizes and celebrates the efforts of student veterans and chapters who dedicate their time to giving back.
Volunteer Opportunities in 2025
The PVSA program is open to active SVA chapter members and chapters throughout the 2025 calendar year. Whether you’re organizing campus cleanups, mentoring fellow students, supporting local nonprofits, or partnering with national service organizations—every hour counts.
How to Qualify:
- Individual Awards: Track your volunteer hours through your MySVA account.
- Chapter/Group Awards: At least two active members must each contribute 25+ hours, and the chapter must total at least 100 volunteer hours.
- Attendance at NatCon: To be eligible to receive the award, recipients must attend the 18th Annual National Conference.
For full eligibility details and award levels, visit our Volunteer Service page.
