Student Veterans of America and Boeing Host 2023 Regional Summit Conference
WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 25, 2023) – Student Veterans of America’s (SVA) Regional Summits for 2023 are officially wrapped-up. This year we hosted six Regional Summits across the country in Philadelphia, Dallas, Miami, Milwaukee, Nashville, and Sacramento to cover all regions. Thanks to our amazing partners at Boeing for sponsoring our Regional Summits. Their contributions have allowed SVA to reach many student veterans directly in their communities.
At each of our Regional Summits, we commenced our time together with a service project or outing in the local community. These activities allowed us to build community among participants, learn about, and serve the community in which we hosted each event.
During the Regional Summit, SVA staff members facilitated workshops on defining the mission and vision of an SVA chapter, enhance the chapter’s efficiency in operations, build relationships on campus and in the community, and create a meaningful community within the chapter. In addition to the staff led workshops, opportunities were presented as a result of our partnerships with Wounded Warrior Project and FourBlock.
As we begin planning for our 2024 series of Regional Summits, there are still ways to engage with SVA both on-campus and through our programming. Applications for our Leadership Institute are now open! Our Leadership Institute is the premier student leadership experience which helps you develop your personal leadership ethos and connects you with a community of leadership fellows.
