2022 in Review: Key Milestones
1. National Reach and Chapter Growth – SVA’s network grew to over 1,500 chapters, representing nearly 750,000 student veterans. Chapters nationwide engaged in meaningful leadership, service, and community programming.
2. Academic and Career Innovation – Through new initiatives like the National Academic Advising Center (NAAC) and enhanced career programming, SVA provided tailored support for military-connected students navigating higher education and the workforce.
3. Groundbreaking Research – SVA continued to lead the field with its Census and NVEST research, providing critical insights into student veteran demographics, graduation outcomes, and evolving needs.
4. Policy and Legislative Impact – SVA advocated for key federal priorities, including protecting the GI Bill, supporting Guard/Reserve parity, and improving access to campus mental health resources.
